10:30 AM

The RI State Elks will hold their annual Flag Day Ceremony on Sunday, June 14th at 10:30 am at the Bristol Veterans Home. This is an impressive and patriotic ceremony celebrating the history of our Flag. Retired Lt. General Reginald Centracchio will be the guest speaker. A Marine Detachment Color Guard will post and retire the colors.

Attendees will learn the history of the Flag as they watch a parade of the 8 historic Flags of our Country. Uncle Sam and the Statue of Liberty will be in attendance. A new flag for the Bristol Veterans Home has been donated by the Elks. The Boy and Girl Scouts will lower the old flag and raise the new one.

A collation will be held at the Bristol Lodge of Elks immediately following the ceremony. Bring the family and join us to observe this special patriotic ceremony and learn the history of our flag.
